A lot of things happened and meanwhile we still worked out some things here and there.  We were involved in the following projects:

F.O.A.D. – Sociopathic Regression – a grey-scale package with hi-end stylistic typography for this Lithuanian Metal / Crossover band.  Interestingly enough Thorns (Glorior Belli, Frostmoon Eclipse…) was featured on drums.  The release is out through Inferna Profundus Records.

GOATPSALM – Erset La Tari – a minimal yet epic piece of graphic work, the band features Horth (Eclipse Media) on synths and conceptualization.  The album is out through the cult British label Aesthetic Death Records.

RELINQUISHED – Onward Anguishes – Again, the guys hired us to create the package for their second album following the great response on their debut album ‘Susanna Lies in Ashes’.  The package features hi-end photo editing and manipulation besides typography and other stuff.  The album is released through Noisehead Records.  Furthermore, we got also involved in the making of their new band logo and the T-Shirt for their new album.

HYPNOS – Heretic Commando – Another intensive work for this respected band.  We were responsible for creating a digi-pack to host a CD and a DVD along the 24 page booklet.  This album was mastered by Borge Finstad (Mayhem, Ulver, Borknagar, Acturus…) at Toproom Studio.  Following the successful launch, the album got excellent reviews from: LEGACY, EMP, NUCLEAR BLAST, METALLIAN, ROCKHARD and more.  The label responsible for this release is Einheit Produktionen from Germany.

TAAKE – Noregs Vaapens – a Cassette reissue of their final album.  This limited edition tape is available through Inferna Profundus Records.  We were responsible for the sleeve arrangement.

SVARTSYN – Genesis of Deaths Illuminating Mysteries – We were involved in the arrangement of the vinyl package.

Meanwhile the band is in the studio to record the album entitled ‘Heretic Commando’ which will be released in April 2012 through the German label Einheit Produktionen. This new album will feature guest members from Pestilence and Vader.

Among various dynamic features this shop presents a simple navigation, catalog product sorters, plus supporting two languages (English and German) and three currencies (Swiss Franc, US Dollar, Euro and British Sterling), apart from the usual features (e.g. customer accounts, wishlist, compare products, etc).

In Memoriam 1955-2011

It was quite shocking to hear that Steve Jobs passed away!  I remember the first time Apple launched its first product, and nowadays all these original gadgets.  However my main point is not about his products, but about his personality, philosophy, the way he shaped both business and technology, and last but not least his constant struggle with his health conditions.  That shows the spirit of a true dedicated hard working person.  A true example one shall follow!  You will never be forgotten!

My sincere condolences to his family and friends for this loss!

The Melek-Tha boxset comes in few different flavors consisting in few types of tentacle boxes varying by color. Interestingly enough, one tentacle box has a glow effect, that means that it glows in the dark (amusing eh? )

For those who are not fully aware, the Melek-Tha ‘H.P. Lovecraft’ boxset consists in previous album releases dedicated to Howard Philip Lovecraft, which were composed in junction with other artists of the same genre being: 47-Ashes (fr), A.E.P. (fr), Karna (ru), Posthuman Tantra (br), Silcharde (fr) and Xa-Mul (uk). The boxset comes with additional bonus material featuring occasional appearances by the French singer Vadi Strah. As one may expect, the musical genre is a mix of Industrial, Noise, Ambient, Sci-Fi, Sampling and other means of sound-scape.

First Fallen Star is already taking pre-orders for this limited edition boxset.

Just a few images of some of the graphics, as well as the Tentacle Box, can be viewed at the temporary page linked below. We will begin taking pre-orders this summer just before finally sending everything off to the factory for manufacturing. (Pre-orders for the Tentacle Box must be paid in full!)
